Labour Leader Roger Truelove says he is hopeful that progress is at last being made on the Kemsley Fields and Chandlers Croft estates at the northern end of Kemsley Ward.
Swale Borough Council reported this week that they have at last achieved the land transfer of open space from the developer and that work can proceed with the play areas, and with landscaping and planting.
At the same time, it does appear as though the developers are making progress with the subsidence issues which, amongst many consequences, has led to much of the area still not having roads made up at least 6 years after residents moved in.
Cllr. Truelove set out to tackle these problems when he was County Councillor for Swale Central between 2005-2009 and has continued to work for residents there ever since.
