Passengers make good use of new station bridge

Rail users in Sittingbourne and Sheppey have been making good use of the disabled access bridge between the two platforms at Sittingbourne Station since it opened this summer.

The decision by Network Rail to make the improvements to our local station followed meetings with former Labour MP Derek Wyatt and Labour Councillors Roger Truelove and Ghlin Whelan along with members of the Swale Access Group. Labour pressure also resulted in the provision of secure facility for bicycles.
